A Soccer Mom. Who, me?

Standard

Yes, it’s true, I must admit that I am a soccer mom.  Sure, my kiddos are only in Little League Soccer, but my Saturday social life begins on the soccer field.  (Thankfully though, their “season” only lasts 6 weeks!)  After a mere 2 or 3 hours on the sidelines, I come away with a wealth of knowledge about what all the kids have been up to for the Anna soccerweek.

Here’s my little ballerina, transformed into a down and dirty soccer player.  OK…so she’s not so dirty.  And actually, we were a bit concerned that she might not be all that thrilled with the soccer regime.  Can you see our uncertainty on her face?  This is her first year in soccer, and we weren’t really sure what to expect, but I knew that I didn’t want to have her sitting on the sidelines for 6 weeks complaining about wanting to play.  I’m happy to report that she seems to be warming up to it quite well.

Tommy soccerTommy, on the other hand, is acting like he’s a pro at this.  I guess one fall season of Little League Soccer and you’re a star.  He was very eager to get out there and get moving.  (Not a single still shot of him on my camera from that morning!)  Also, a little too eager to trash talk his opponents.  (Something we’ll definitely have to be working on controlling!)

They’re both putting up a great effort…making momma proud!
